Hebrews 11:1
KJV 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
BBE 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the sign that the things not seen are true.
These are my thoughts.
Faith isn’t seeing but belief in Him, we see because of faith the great things He does.

Hebrews 11:2 KJV 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. BBE 2 For by it our fathers had God's approval.
These are my thoughts. Thru Jesus we have a good report but we are also to walk His ways so that we continue having a good report.

Hebrews 11:3
KJV 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
BBE 3 By faith it is clear to us that the order of events was fixed by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made from things which only seem to be.
These are my thoughts.
It is only by faith that we know God is who He is and He done what He has done.

Hebrews 11:4
KJV 4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
BBE 4 By faith Abel made a better offering to God than Cain, and he had witness through it of his righteousness, God giving his approval of his offering: and his voice still comes to us through it though he is dead.
These are my thoughts.
Do we by faith give God our best or do we give Him what we want to?

Hebrews 11:5 KJV 5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. BBE 5 By faith Enoch was taken up to heaven so that he did not see death; he was seen no longer, for God took him away: for before he was taken, witness had been given that he was well-pleasing to God:
These are my thoughts. Enoch went to heaven because of his faith and while we will die, faith is the only way we can get to heaven, faith in Jesus as Lord.

Hebrews 11:6
KJV 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
BBE 6 And without faith it is not possible to be well-pleasing to him, for it is necessary for anyone who comes to God to have the belief that God is, and that he is a rewarder of all those who make a serious search for him.
These are my thoughts.
We live for Him by the faith we have in Him, without it we aren’t able to seek Him.

Hebrews 11:7
KJV 7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
BBE 7 By faith Noah, being moved by the fear of God, made ready an ark for the salvation of his family, because God had given him news of things which were not seen at the time; and through it the world was judged by him, and he got for his heritage the righteousness which is by faith.
These are my thoughts.
Do we move off of God’s word? Do we act in faith? Noah showed he believed by following God’s word, so should we.

Hebrews 11:8
KJV 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
BBE 8 By faith Abraham did as God said when he was ordered to go out into a place which was to be given to him as a heritage, and went out without knowledge of where he was going.
These are my thoughts.
We should step out when God asks us even though we don’t know where He is leading us.

Hebrews 11:9
KJV 9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
BBE 9 By faith he was a wanderer in the land of the agreement, as in a strange land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, who had a part with him in the same heritage:
These are my thoughts.
Even though, he didn’t gain what he went for, he had faith that God would keep his promise, even if God doesn’t fulfill His promises in our life time, we need to have faith to walk after Him and trust in His promises.

Hebrews 11:10
KJV 10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
BBE 10 For he was looking for the strong town, whose builder and maker is God.
These are my thoughts.
We now this city as the new Jerusalem, and the builder is Jesus.

Hebrews 11:11
KJV 11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
BBE 11 And by faith Sarah herself had power to give birth, when she was very old, because she had faith in him who gave his word;
These are my thoughts.
Sarah first doubted but then showed faith, this shows that even if we first doubt God can build up our faith and remove the doubt.

Hebrews 11:12
KJV 12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
BBE 12 So that from one man, who was near to death, came children in number as the stars in heaven, or as the sand by the seaside, which may not be numbered.
These are my thoughts.
When it seemed hopeless God moved.

Hebrews 11:13
KJV 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
BBE 13 All these came to their end in faith, not having had the heritage; but having seen it with delight far away, they gave witness that they were wanderers and not of the earth.
These are my thoughts.
Many people have died in the Faith but they who have faith will be receive the heavenly promises.

Hebrews 11:14
KJV 14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
BBE 14 For those who say such things make it clear that they are searching for a country for themselves.
These are my thoughts.
The wanted the land God had promised them, we should also seek God’s promises as well.

Hebrews 11:15
KJV 15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
BBE 15 And truly if they had kept in mind the country from which they went out, they would have had chances of turning back.
These are my thoughts.
We can to go back to the ways we once lived by when we have truly met the love of the Lord thru Jesus then why would we?

Hebrews 11:16
KJV 16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
BBE 16 But now their desire is for a better country, that is to say, for one in heaven; and so it is no shame to God to be named their God; for he has made ready a town for them.
These are my thoughts.
Likewise we also await a better country prepared for us by the Lord.

Hebrews 11:17
KJV 17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
BBE 17 By faith Abraham made an offering of Isaac, when he was tested: and he with whom the agreement had been made gave up as an offering the only son of his body,
These are my thoughts.
Abraham offered up Isaac and did not have to loose his son but God gave us Christ and by Him He gains us as His children.

KJV 18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:

Hebrews 11:19
KJV 19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
BBE 19 Judging that God was able to give life even to the dead; and because of this he did get him back as if from death.
These are my thoughts.
Abraham believed that God was still going to keep His promises even if He had to raise Isaac back to life. That is real faith and he had it because he truly knew God and knew that God is truth.
