Jesus is our Priest.

KJV 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
ACV 22 let us approach with a TRUE heart in full assurance of faith, our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our body washed in pure water.
These are my thoughts.
We are to come to the Lord and He will give us a clean heart, we are to try to let Him keep it this way.

KJV 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
ACV 23 Let us hold firm the affirmation of the hope unwavering, for he who promised is faithful.
These are my thoughts.
We should stand strong in Him no matter what we have to face for Him.

ACV 24 And let us examine each other for provocation of love and good works.
These are my thoughts.
We are to encourage and uplift each other to do good thru the Lord out of His love.

KJV 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
ACV 25 Not forsaking the assembling together of ourselves, as is the habit of some, but exhorting, and so much the more as long as ye see the day approach
These are my thoughts.
We should come together as Christians, this helps us both learn and grow and there is power when we come together.

KJV 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
ACV 26 For when we sin willfully after taking the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins,
These are my thoughts.
We can only be saved once, Jesus can forgive all sins, this verse is saying Jesus is the answer for sin turn to Him and don’t look to anything or anyone else.

KJV 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
ACV 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and of fire, a fervor that is going to devour the opposition.
These are my thoughts.
We can let the fire consume us for our enemies or give them over to the Lord as we should.

BBE 28 A man who has gone against the law of Moses is put to death without pity on the word of two or three witnesses:
These are my thoughts.
To just live by the law means we die without what we need because we need Jesus, who fulfills the law for us.

\The last place we want to be is cushed under His foot but we need to seek His mercy and grace.

KJV 30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
BBE 30 For we have had experience of him who says, Punishment is mine, I will give reward. And again, The Lord will be judge of his people.
These are my thoughts.
Vengeance is the Lord’s, we are not to take it but let Him handle that.

BBE 31 We may well go in fear of falling into the hands of the living God.

We should have a respect or fear for the Lord but as believers we can have comfort of His love.

These are my thoughts.
Just as those did in times past we to may suffer for the faith.

BBE 33 In part, in being attacked by angry words and cruel acts, before the eyes of everyone, and in part, in being united with those who were attacked in this way.
These are my thoughts.
To suffer and for us to be attacked because of the faith puts us in a good company.

BBE 34 For you had pity on those who were in prison, and had joy in the loss of your property, in the knowledge that you still had a better property and one which you would keep for ever.
These are my thoughts.
We need to take joy in giving for the Lord to those in need because our reward will be eternal in heaven.

BBE 36 For, having done what was right in God's eyes, you have need of waiting before his word has effect for you.

We need to patience wait on the promises of God and live by His will until then.

To please the Lord we need to continue to follow Him daily, no turning back.

We need to have the faith that keeps us walking after the Lord.
